Brief Outage 10.43 BST Monday 20th June 2016

At approximately 10.43 BST today our site monitors reported an error. Things were back to normal by 10:49.

Initial investigations show that a problem with the database service was responsible.

The exact cause is being investigated and further information will be posted here once it is available.

    Analysis show that a scheduled job extracting data from a third party failed to complete or timeout locking some internal tables that eventually resulted in a database wide lock.

    The scheduled job has been suitable modified so that this should not happen again.
