Brief Outage 16:08 BST (15:08 UTC) Monday 17 October 2016

UPDATE 24 Oct 2016:

Our colocation has now supplied their "Reason For Outage" (RFO) report and it is attached to this article. The outage was caused by a configuration error during the installation of new infrastructure. The cause was rolled back very quickly but a ripple effect caused error to be seen for a while after the reversal.

Original Article:

At approximately 16:08 this afternoon our server monitors detected an error on our web services. The services were back on line by 16:14.

Initial investigations have confirmed that there was a loss of connectivity within the colocation facility in which our live servers are located. The colocation facility operator has already confirmed that the outage was outside the control of B2B Internet Solutions Ltd. We have requested a full explanation from our supplier and will publish it here as soon as it is available.

Our automated failover procedures worked correctly and the standby servers started up and briefly took over processing until connectivity with the primary servers was re-established.

B2B Internet Solutions Ltd apologises for any inconvenience caused during this period.
