Branch Admin Screen

The Branch Admin Screen allows authorised end users to view and maintain branches , branch addresses and supplier addresses.

 IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • In many cases the BranchSourceWeb flag against Clients is set to false.  This effectively means that the Branches are maintained externally from the B2B SaaS and are automatically updated from this external source.  It is important therefore to have a process in place in the external system to change the Branches of the users on the external system to valid active branches BEFORE making a Branch inactive on the external system.  This will ensure there is no risk of an automated external update to the web leaving users against inactive Branches.  Ideally the external system should not allow the setting of Branches to inactive if there are any users against them in the external system System
  • If the web finds a user with an inactive Branch the Branch will not be found and it will just show the first Branch in the list.  This will happen wherever a users details are shown including both the initial confirmation screen and the User Admin screen.  This is quite dangerous as if it is not noticed and the defaulted Branch is saved against the user, this is the Branch where the order will be placed and delivered for the user (if it is still a valid address!)

Access to this screen and its functionality is available to users with the following Role Functions:

- Branch Admin - View

- Branch Admin - Maintain
